What's New?

Hey everyone,

Just a bit of an update on where I have been and what i'm doing.  To answer the question that probably comes to your mind first, yes I am still working out.  I haven't stopped, I have had a few slip ups but I got back on the horse and everything is going great!

As for where I have been, I'm currently in the process of creating a new fitness blog and fitness channel on Youtube.  These new projects are specifically for health and wellness purposes and will be focusing on diet, the human body, and other exercises besides P90X.  Now with that being said, that isn't the end of this blog.  I will be blogging here as I continue P90X, and that will resume once I have everything else put together.

Once my other blog is up and running, I will post the link here and you can check it out :)

In the meantime please check out my ab ripper x workout video posted above!

Day 3 - Recovery and Mobility

Hey everyone,

I'm back! finally!  I've been anxious to get back into these workouts, and today was like experiencing Christmas morning.  I was finally able to get back into the workouts and get back on track and I enjoyed every single minute of it.  I may not like this one down the road, but because I haven't worked out in a bit I really enjoyed it.  Most people tend to neglect the Recovery and Mobility during workout programs, it's something everyone needs and was a nice way to ease back into this program. The foam roller is awesome and I've noticed a huge difference with it while working out the muscles, this wasn't a part of P90X so it's going to take some getting used to. It's great that they have this workout in this spot, as day 4 is more total body and will be a tough one to get through so it's great to be ready for that.

P90X2 is totally different than P90X and your so used to the schedule, workouts and food choices of P90X that it takes time to get back into that flow.  I feel like once I finish P90X2 and hop into P90X again that I will destroy it and really take my fitness to a whole other level.  The exercises in the Recovery and Mobility routine aren't too difficult, it's mostly things that everyone can do, some leg swings, lunges, squats.  I wasn't sure before I began this if I could keep up with P90X2, but I honestly believe that anyone who has finished P90X can hop right into this one.  There's always modified ways of doing exercises, just like in P90X so it's great that I have choices whether to do the advanced or beginner.

Well i'm off for the night to get some rest, tomorrow is going to be a good one I'm already itching to get going!

Be back tomorrow for Day 4 - X2 Total Body

Update 2

Hey everyone,

Hope you've all been keeping well in my absence. I'm going to make this real quick and explain where I've been for a week now.  My mom had major back surgery this week, so I've been pretty concentrated on that..due to the stress however my Crohn's Disease has been flaring up so it's left me unable to do my workouts.  I've just been resting, and I was supposed to get my Remicade infusion (the drug that keeps me in remission) yesterday, but I got sick and was unable to have it done.  I'm feeling pretty rough right now, good news is that once I get the infusion which should be this week I will feel back to normal and ready to resume my P90X2 workouts.  For now I'm doing some light bike work for 15-30 minutes depending on how I feel during that day, I didn't want to give up all working out unless I absolutely needed to.  As of this writing, I need to stop the bike work until I get my infusion. It's nothing serious, I just need my medicine to get me feeling back to 100%.

I'm not going anywhere, I will absolutely continue this later this week. It could even be as soon as Wednesday, I'll keep you all posted!

Can't wait to get back into it!

Josh.

UPDATE

Hey everyone,

I'm taking a brief hiatus from the blog, I'm only going to be gone until next Sunday.  I'll explain more about why i'm taking a week off when I get back next week.  I just want you all to know that everything is fine, it's nothing serious so there's no need to worry.  When I return next Sunday I will be continuing from Day 3, my health is my main priority so i'm going to get everything in check and then go strong through the 90 days! I will be back for sure, so don't go anywhere I enjoy reading comments and words of encouragement.  I don't think I would have been able to get through P90X if it weren't for people reading and encouraging me.

Thanks for reading and i'll see you all next Sunday April 22nd!

Josh.
